Kirchborchen

Good morning,
Sorry to respond in English, I don't write very well in German. Hopefully, either you understand English or you can translate.

Antonius Lappen and Catharina Margaretha Lippegaus are my ancestors.

Antonius Lappen (*28 Nov 1711 Busch), son of Petrus Meinolphus Lappen (*ca 1699 Busch) & Margaretha Greffleman (+ 18 Mar 1722 Busch).

Petrus Meinolphus Lappen, son of Gercke Lappen (*ca. 1640 Busch, + 1699 Busch)
Gercke Lappen, son of Gerke Lappen (*ca. 1600 Busch)
Gerke Lappen, son of Hermann Lappen (*ca. 1575 Busch)
Hermann Lappen, son of Hermann Lappen
Hermann Lappen, son of Hermann Lappen (*1516 Geseke?) - In a court document from 1586, Hermann Lappen was said to be 70 years old, and had lived 50 years in Busch.
Hermann Lappen, son of unknown Lappen
Unknown Lappen, son of Gottschalk Lappen from Geseke
Gottschalk Lappen, son of Borchard Lappen from Geseke
Borchard Lappen, son of Henricus Lappen from Geseke

The research into the Lappen family was done by my distant cousin in Germany, Hans Josef Lappe (hajo.lappe@t-online.de), although I have copies of the church records from my own research.

Catharine Margaretha Lippegaus (* 19 Oct 1716 Kirchborchen), daughter of Meinolphus Lippegaus and Catharina Nottebaumm

Meinolphus Lippegaus (*17 Dec 1680 Kirchborchen + 9 Sep 1748 Kirchborchen), son of Henrich Lippegaus and Angela Mencken.

I believe Henrich Lippegaus was the son of Arnoldus Lippegaus and Sophia, widow, m. 24 Aug 1637 Kirchborchen.

I believe the father of Catharina Nottebaum was Diederich Nottebaum of Nortbusch, as the godparents of her children include Joannes Nottebaum (brother) and Diederich Nottebaum.

My own research into this family is still in process. I hope this helps.

Linda,

are you aware of any connections between your ancestors of the Lappen family and my ancestors in Wewer? Otherwise I will contact Hans Josef Lappe as you have recommended. I am aware of several connections between these small villages, which are very close to each other.

A distant cousin in the US has published information on his web pages, see http://members.cyberrealm.net/~rockfish/database/f_27.htm#3 which should forward you to Joannes Anton Franciskus Lappen directly. Maybe you find further connections to other family members in this area as well.

Regards,
Frank (Priggert)
