bin auf diese Seite auch schon gesto�en als ich versucht habe etwas �ber
meine Rautenberg Familie in Googel zu finden...
F�r mich h�rt sich das ganze nicht gerade Loyal an muss ich ernsthaft zu
diesem Angebot sagen.
Aber wenn jemand was dar�ber wei� interessiert es mich nat�rlich auch !

Hallo Margot,
zwar habe ich keinerlei Erfahrung mit diesem Angebot, allerdings
ist mir in der letzten Zeit aufgefallen, dass von dieser Seite
hoechstbezahlte Anzeigen in den Suchmaschinen erscheinen, so bald
man auch nur etwas Entferntes zur 'Ahnenforschung' bei den Suchern
eingibt.
Ich erlaube mir hier mal keinen Kommentar; moechte aber auf den der
Seite zugehoerigen Link 'Ueber uns' verweisen. Dort heisst es in
einem spaeteren Absatz woertlich (30.03.2006/00:4h):
'Dadurch sind wir in der Lage, eine weltweit einzigartige Dienstleistung
anzubieten.
Forschungen f�r die oft jahrelange m�hselige Zeit und geldaufwendige
Recherchen notwendig waren in Stunden und Tagen zu unglaublichen
kosteng�nstigen Geb�hren durchzuf�hren.
Gelder die durch unsere Forschungsarbeiten eingenommen werden verwenden
wir um unsere Bibliothek und das Archiv st�ndig zu erweitern und zu

Sorry for my English writing it is a little bit better than my German. I
wroted, Don't do it!
When I looked at that website I saw standard prices? These prices remainded
my at something what happened in the Netherlands. The prices are for a
packed deal of information, but from where? I will give you an strong
example. The only standard in genealogy is that you know that you have to
search to Birth, Married and Dead certificates for a person. At least 3
things for 1 person. They can give a fast price for the first three,
considerated at a search in a timeline. To the period of Napoleon you have
to search and can perhaps find 6, 7 or 8 generations. The cheapest list is a
search to the direct name giving persons. Say 7 persons X 3 items for an
amound of perhaps 1 to 1,30 euro? (take the avarage time neaded, the waiting
time for the records, searching time and so on. Perhaps it is a very smart
experienced searcher?) Will you know more things from one person, was hy
soldier, student or a scoundrel? This sort of searchings asked more time
for one item? In fact the time for this sort of searching is really much
longer. Don't forget the preparatory labourings. You have to know a lot of
the person and his family and have to asked information from himself and
then from his father and mother. More information such as where did they
have had there place of residence, address and so one. I asked myself where
are they doing there search? There answer, from a lot of books? and from
the internet?
In the Netherlands and Belgium we have chase away a few scoundrels who were
commit fraud in genealogy. When I looks to there website I see that they
used nearly the same Dutch prices? Is this coincidence ore only a copy from
the Dutch marked? I know one thing. Dutch genealogical searching is much
easyer than in Germany? Are the website owners perhaps the same persons?
What the Dutch did, they give a list with around 30 or 40 persons and 3
items per person, a birthdate, a married date and a deaddate. Bud you have
to put all the items to getter by yourself, to get a sort of coherent family
list? A few names they asked from you and that lookes familiar. Deeper in
the history the names where a stroke of luck. They used a list with
christian names and with the computer they fabricated with totaly other
surnames, well 50 times over, the data was eventually readjusted at an
avarage lenght of a family generation, but they used also the same data. The
heraldry was a weapon from another family, or a weapon from a family with
the same surname or a look a like, without any coharent existance to the
paying family. There was not a real profound searching in the depth of the
family history. It was mostly a free standing of genealogical looking items.
Real searching afterwards did give another image at the family. Only by the
prices it looks really Dutch to my. It looks, to much like swindle and
cheat, I am afread that they give you a desillusion. Perhaps I have a wrong
look at this website, but with these prices you cannot do a good
genealogical search in Germany.

diesen Text zu überseten lohnt nicht, ein Zusammenfassung der Bedeutung
hingegen schon.
Meine Interpretation:
Harry will fragen, ob ein gewisses Internetangebot seriös ist, das er
gefunden hat.
Nach seine BEschreibungen sind seine Zweifel sehr berechtigt.
Man müsste allerdings diese Internetseite sehen/genannt bekommen.
Ich würde in dieser Situation eher abraten diesen Service zu benutzen.
