If the Oldenburgers to whom you refer immigrated around the mid-1800s, then they are likely from the Birkenfeld area, part of the former Duchy of Oldenburg in the area of Rheinland-Pfalz. I would greatly appreciate your sharing this information with me, as I have all of Rudi Jung’s Familienbuchs from this area.
I am happy to assist anyone with family research whose ancestors immigrated from the Birkenfeld area.
