Hello Tom,
if your Joseph Feldmann catholic, then should came from Damme or Neuenkirchen.
But the only one Joseph Feldmann in the time frame I could find is:
- Bernard Joseph Feldmann, born 07.Sep.1826 by Klausing in Osterdamme
parents: Johann Heinrich Feldmann & Maria Catharina Timphus
he married on 11.Nov.1847 and
oo 25.May.1859 in Damme
For Neuenkirchen I have not church records.
Have a nice day,
Werner Honkomp
Hello Tom, I'm again.
The emigration records of Damme listed:
- Josef Feldmann, emigrated from Holdorf 1850
Also the Census at 1900 shows 1850, his wife came over from Hannover 1854.
At the Census 1880 is he 51 years old(*1829), but the Census 1990 shows born Octob. 1830, his wife May 1828.
I have not access to Holdorf record. Maybe you check the church records via LDS. The Holdorf church book started 1827, before parish Damme.
I could not find a passenger list.
Good luck,
Werner Honkomp
Hallo Werner,
Jan Timphaus
