I am seeking the birth of my grandfather Johann Henrich Dust born about 1822 in Schossow and his wife Dorothea Mass born about 1824 in Schossow they married in that town as well. Where might I find the records for this village? Related to Dust family in this area, trying to tie the families together. A Wilhelm Dust lives in Wolde but said he isn't related. I highly doubt it. My family came from this surrounding area. Casper Martin Theodore Dust married a Seemann and moved to West Seneca, New York, Christoph Friederich Dust married a Johanna Marie Mass and lived in Detroit, Michigan and my grandfather was Johann Henrich Dust and lived in Marine City/Cottreville, St. Clair County, Michigan. they all moved to the USA and came by ship 1856 & 1857. Another Dust relative from New Jersey area found out his relatives also in Chicago, Illinois were from Pripsleben. We are searching for further relations of the other Dust from this region of Germany. We haven't tied to the Lingen or Bavaria Dust yet!
