Johann Heinrich Brokamp

Hello,

I am looking for information on the parents of Johann Heinrich Brokamp, born
about 1838 in Oldenburg. He immigrated to the us before 1860. He married
Margaret Schumacher/Shoemaker about 1860 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County,
Ohio. They had three children born in Cincinnati, Ohio; Nicholas Henry born
06 Dec 1861, William Brokamp born 10 Apr 1864, and a child that died in
infancy. Johann Heinrich Brokamp died in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1866.

Johann Heinrich Brohkamp (today Brokamp) is born 23.March 1838, baptized 25.March in Damme
Parents: Johann Henrich Brohkamp and Anna Maria Agnes Wessel
Heuerling (tenant farmer) on the Wehebrinks Kotten(very small farm) in Damme-D�mmerlohhausen (close to the lake D�mmer)
He emigrated on 16.Apr.1858 regarding www.auswanderer-oldenburg.de

Maybe Ruth Thole have more information.

Hi Nancy,
The book Haverbeck Chronik - 700 Jahre Haverbeck, cites a Johann Josef
Brokamp marrying Maria Bernardine Haverbeck on June 4, 1878, in Steinfeld.
He was a Zeller (farmer) in Duepe. They had five children. Their second
eldest daughter, Agnes, was adopted by Maria's sister Maria Anna Haverbeck
and later inherited Hof Haverbeck, in Haverbeck.
Haverbeck is at the northeast edge of Damme and is also near Lake Duemmer.
I send this to you as he might have been a brother of Johann Heinrich
Brokamp.

this Johann Josef Brokamp is an other family, he is born in Steinfeld on 14.May.1853.
Parents: Johann Bernard Friemerding - called Brokamp and Maria Catharina Brokamp, farm owner

Ther a lot of Brokamp families in Steinfeld and Damme.
