Hello, I'm looking for information regarding the family of Johann Heinrich Ahlers born 23 Sept 1808 and Johanne Marie Henriette Holle, born 24 Aug 1809. They had five children when they emigrated to the US in 1852: Johanne (b. 1835), Heinrich (b. 1838), Hermann (b.1840), Marianne (b.1842) and Ludwig (b. 1850). Boy are we lucky,
I happened to find the couple's marriage in the church registers:
They married on nov 13, 1832 in Oldenburg. Johann Hinrich was a citizen and master tailor. His father was Johann Hinrich Ahlers, citizen and innkeeper in Oldenburg.
Her father was Hermann Hinrich Holle, citizen and master tailor in Oldenburg.
What I was missing was their birth dates, thanks a lot; and I did not know they emigrated. I would love to hear from you more about their emigration, and where they finally went to.
