Dear Werner:
Thank you for your reply. I would like to know of the other Brinkers who
came later than 1839. There is oral history that some came later after the first
ones and perhaps these might fit in.
Does the emigration book "Kreise Lingen nach Amerika" list ALL who left?
Were they required to be listed when they left?
Thank you again for your help.
Janice and Hans
Dear Janice and Hans,
the book is a collection of different source, written by Walter Tenfelde. It should include all emigrants from former Kreis Lingen, but it is not sure.
The first Brinker is:
Jan Bernd Brinker, born about 1818 in Lengerich, no married, shoemaker, emigrated 1836.
The next one is:
Johann Heinrich Brinker, born 30.March.1829 Lohe, parish Thuine, no married, laborer, emigrated 1840
Parents: Heuermann Hermann Heinrich Brinker and Maria Agnes Mollenkamp
(the only one Johann Heinrich)
1842: Hermann Bernard Brinker, born 30.Sep.1816 Duisenburg parish Bawinkel, died 20.Dec.1843 in Louis
All other later, too much to write all.
Werner
