Below are all the voyages of the ships captained by "Lutzen." Jens Lutzen
was captain of the Danish ship *Amistad *from the reference books that I
own. Advertisements in the Hamburg newspapers indicate he was also the
captain of the Schooner *Jonge Ary*, the Danish schooner *Blitz*, and
Hamburg ship Georg Hinrich. He was also listed in Hamburg newspaper ads as
captain for the Danish schooner *Therese* (for Cadiz) and the Danish ship *Anna
Brigatta* (for Livorno, Lisbon and Smyrna) but I have not found voyages
for those ships. Some of the references in the Hamburg newspapers indicate
that the ships were sailed by Jens Lutzen Junior.
There are many articles in the Hamburg newspapers that will provide more
information.
The Hamburger Nachrichten 4 Jun 1850 reports that Jens Lutzen became a
citizen.
The Altonaer Nachrichten from 4 Feb 1869 reports on his death at 78 years 2
months 1 week and 1 day.
