Hello, I'm trying to find some information about my family. What I have learned was that they lived in a lovely town called Tuchel/Tuchola. Here in the states I have found them with out to much trouble except the name spelled many ways.
I have look at the index card for the arrival of the ships into Galveston Texas for 1896 to 1906 but they were very hard to see. I thought about Germans to America however my library book only went to 1851.
My grandfather's name was Josef Jeneralsky. Not sure if it ended with i or y. My Aunt came in 1892 thru Ellis Island and her name was spelled Jeneralska.
His wife name was Rosa but in Polish Roszlia I think. They came in 1897 infact it was told that my grandfather was born aboard ship. 2/10/1897. His name was Bruno, he had a two or three year old brother named Frank and a sister named Marianna five or six.
I have found many Generalski's but these I believe are a branch of the family.
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
