Hi folks,
I just became member of the Pommerania and W/E-Prussia mailinglists and I'd like to introduce myself also to the non-german-speaking-part of this lists:
My name is Joachim Lietz, 38 years and I live in Kiel in Northern germany.
Recently I learned, that my ggfather FRANZ JOSEF TRZEBIATOWSKI was born in 1850 in Stolzenfelde, Kreis Schlochau, nowadays Stolczno in the Polish province
Slupskie. In 1883 he lived in Schleswig-Holstein where he married my ggmother.
I've been told that he may have been an illegal son of CLARA TRZEBIATOWSKA, who was a maid in Stolzenfelde, and the name LIETZ should have been the name of
the father of my ggf. But I'm not sure of this, because the people someone could ask, died some years ago.
I really don't know - but the fact my parents changed the surname in the early 1950 from Trzebiatowski to Lietz.
The birth of Clara I estimate between 1820 - 1833,
I'd like to learn if there are churchbooks or civil registers for this area, that might have survived the WW II. Or If there is anybody who is researching for the same
surnames in this area.
I honestly had the idea to bury this part of my ancestors, because I had no idea where to locate Stolzenfelde (as you know, there are three of it) and Trzebiatowski seems
to be a fairly common surname. Until I just got the hint for Schlochau last weekend.
regards Joachim
