Hi Costanza,
I think I can help you with birth and marriage records from the Schoenberg Church Books. You didn't tell your g-grandfather's name - was it Carl or was it Franz ? Because there were Polemann twins born in 1875, which would match the information that your g-grandfather was 13 years old in 1889 - well, one year difference can be caused by the exact day date. This is what the birth record tells :
"Schoenberg church book , birth records 1875 Nr. 33 and 34 : (born) May 13, (bapt.) June 25. First born _Carl_, second born _Franz_, legitimate twin sons of Friederich Eduard Gustav Polemann from Schoenberg and Amalie Louise born Clausen. Godfathers to Carl : 1. Carl Clausen from Pinneberg (near Hamburg), 2. Peter Petersen, retired teacher from Meldorf (at the west coast of Schleswig-Holstein), 3. Henriette von Kaup borl Qualen from Schoenberg . Godfathers to Franz : 1. Wilhelm Schabau (or Scharlau) from Lehmkamp (next to Schoenkirchen where I live), Nicolay Henningsen ... (1 word unreadible) in Schoenberg, 3. Caroline Polemann in Hannover (Lower Saxony, abt. 300 km from here)"
The parents married in Schoenberg on June 19, 1868 : "Schoenberg Church Books, Marriage records 1868 Nr. 12. _Friederich Eduard Gustav Polemann_, pharmacist from Schoenberg, legitimate son to Friederich Otto Heinrich Polemann, former Pharmacist in Wesselburen, now in Schoenberg and Wilhelmine Maria Johanna born Bremer, born 1837, Apr. 14, confirmed in Meldorf 1853, 31 years old, (married to ) _Louise Amalie Clausen_, legitimate daughter to the late Wilhelm Gottfried Clausen, pastor form Osterhever and Sophie Henriette born hausen, born 1842, Mar. 14, 26 years old."
Because both groom and bride did not come from Schoenberg, the pastor added a couple of other personal dates :
"The broom's Eytebrief (old word for the certification of origin) : edited Wesselburen, June 3 by Mr. Nehlsen, chief pastor. Certification of confirmation : Pastor's Office in Meldorf, 1865, June 10 edited by Mr. Paulsen
The bride's certification of baptization Osterhever , 1850, May 29, edited by Mr. Clausen, pastor. Certification of unmarried state edited by Mr. Heimreich in Preetz, May 14, 1868, Certification of confirmation : Ploen, church office of the new quarte of Ploen 1868 June 3, edited by Mr. Th. Lorentsen
Death certificate of the groom's parents : Wesselburen, 1883, Jan. 26 edited by Mr. Lindemann
Death certificate of the bride's parents : Toenning, 1842, Aug. 17, edited by Thomas Ph .... (unreadible)
Marriage witnesses : the groom's father and Dr. Wilhelm Clausen from Kaltenkirchen.
Married in the church." --- End of marriage record
