One, an hour ago. Since I have Webtv, so far, they are harmless by the
time they reach me. Webtv filters thru Microsoft before the mail comes
to me. But many of you are probably in the same address books as I am
and use a p.c. so watch for re: as the only entry in the subject line
and the email address of the sender has _ at the beginning of their
address. Delete the email without the temptation of opening it.

As most of you already know, viruses cannot be transmitted by this
mailing list. Attachments are not allowed in this list and therefore
viruses can't get through. On the other hand other list members may be
infected and send emails directly to you. These emails may contain
viruses.
There is a very easy sentence everybody may conform to:
Don't open any attachment that you didn't explicitly ask for
even if it comes from a well know person!
Lastly, please don't send virus warnings to this list. Just stick to
genealogy when sending messages to Hannover-L.

Wie die meisten sicherlich bereits wissen, k�nnen keine e-Mails durch
diese Mailing-Liste verbreitet werden. Anh�nge an e-Mails sind in
dieser Liste nicht erlaubt und daher bleiben virenbehaftete Anh�nge
stecken.
Trotzdem k�nnen nat�rlich verseuchte Rechner von Listenmitgliedern
Viren direkt an andere Listenmitglieder schicken. Daher gilt ein
einfacher Grundsatz, an den sich jeder, der e-Mails empf�ngt halten
sollte: �ffne keine Dateianh�nge, die Du nicht selber angefordert
hast; dies gilt auch f�r e-Mails von guten Bekannten.
Zuletzt noch einmal der Hinweis, das solche Virenwarnungen nicht in
diese liste geh�ren. Bitte schreibt nur �ber Themen, die
genealogischen Hintergrund haben.
