A letter just arrived about some data I asked for.It is from the state archives at Leipzig.
There is a bill that says I owe 20.98E.How much is that in U.S dollars.It does not tell; me how to pay it.
I have e-mail them asking how much I owe and how to pay they.I have not gotten a reply yet.
That has been a week ago.

That is roughly between US$ 25 and US$ 27, depending on the daily exchange
rate. It would be best for you to contact your bank and have them prepare a
euro check for you, drawn on their German partner bank. This check can then
be sent via airmail to the archives at Leipzig. Be sure to include the
German bank's cashing fees in addition to the amount the people in Leipzig
ask you for. Your bank should be able to answer all your questions.
