How Do I Change List Information to English?

Hello to All-

I have been receiving this list for some time now but
have not done much genealogy research in awhile. I
hope to post soon, but for now, how do I change the
list
information to English? I am receiving it in German.

Hi Dea,
That is one of the unique things about the list. You can post in either
English or German. Most people can do both languages so you cannot change
the format so to speak. In my case my German is only passable and takes me
some time. If you post in English and someone has info you are looking for
they will likely reply in English. I reply occasionally to German in
English and they will sometimes reply in German or English. You can
generally find some one to translate should that be necessary.

It is not a perfect translation, but I copy and paste the message into the
Google Language Tools ... and it usually will give you the 'gest' of the
message.
It would be nice if everyone would put the surnames in all caps so they
would be easier to pick out of a language you do not know.

of the translating sites. I use:
http://www.freetranslation.com/

It's not exact but will give you the general idea. If you would have further
questions after using the translation service, there are German speaking
list members that help fill in the details and provide advice. Good hunting
