I am looking for any information about Heinrich L. Horn (b.1831), Friederich Horn (b.1836or37), or any elder Hans Horn to these two persons. All from Stederdorf, Hannover. Emigrated to America in the late 1860's.
Amy Horn-Fettkether
Hello Amy,
My autoatlas of Germany shows two Stederdorfs in Hannover. One would
be south of Uelzen and the other is north of Peine. If you have a LDS
center near you, you could order microfilms of church records for those two
places. For the one near Uelzen they have:
Kirchenbuch, 1711-1962 Evangelische Kirche Stederdorf (Kr. Ülzen)
The other Stederdorf near Peine does not have a separate listing in the
LDS catalog , but those people could have gone to church in Peine. There are
numerous microfilms for Peine-- Church records, both Catholic and
Evangelical, as well as a film listing the emigrants from Peine. Using the
Mormon microfilms is tedious, but one is lucky to get copies of original
records that way.
Good luck,
Barbara Stewart
