Homeyer Crest of 1650s prior crest not yet found

This type information available via http://www.blazonsearch.com

Sorry this is so long and in English. Please note there is an earlier
2 sided crest prior to 1600s
And 2 later crest that are very similar yet have unusual features....

The following was well worth the efforts as it quotes Rolland Brothers
Rietstap
And also give a link to the Prussian Russian side of the family....

Good Luck and may God keep you all - Pam Homeyer Sullivan Little Rock AR USA

Rietstap mentions only one Homeyer that would match the arms you refer
to.

Homeyer
cartel: aux 1 et 4, de gueules, une faucille d'argent, emmanche
d'or; aux 2 et 3, d'azur, une gerbe d'or. Casque couronn.

Translation:

Quarterly: on 1 and 4, gules, a sickle argent, handled Or; on 2 and 3,
azur, a garb Or. A crowned helmet.

Common English:

Quartered: on the 1st and 4th panel, on red, a silver sickle with a
golden handle; on the 2nd and 3rd panel, on blue, a golden sheaf of
wheat. A crowned helmet tops the shield.

The illustrations to the Armorial made by the Rolland brothers show
the sickles in these arms to both face the same direction: handle
downwards, point facing left. It also mentions that the family
originates in Pommeren, Germany.

You can find a color illustration of the full arms, with crest and
mantling, on the following genealogy website (which appears to be from
a direct descendent in the Homeyer line):

http://www.alexander-von-homeyer.com/genealogy/index.html

Remarkable is that these arms show the sickle on the 1st panel
mirrored (contourned). It is also noteworthy that these arms
technically violate the tincture rule (no color on color or tincture
on tincture).

The contact information for the person who did the genealogical
