Lee,
Thanks for your information. While I live in Idaho, I was born and raised
in Milwaukee.
I appreciate your help.
Kathy

Hi Kathy,

I'm looking for Henry Witte and wife Maria Heins in Geestendorf in c.1850. and their
daughter Anna b 1869.
Would you be kind enough to let me know if you receive and film #'s for this time frame.
This is the first time I have seen anyone even refer to this town and don't have a clue
about it, where it near etc.
Thanks,
Leslie

Dear Kathy,
I'm not sure if I got you right. Have you studied the proper microfilms, or are
you looking for the church district to find them?
Appeln belongs to the church distict of Beverstedt, and at present I have a copy
of the Beverstedt Church records microfilms at our local LDS FHC. I am searching
for Luehrs and Buettelmann in Appeln, and I still have to work through the years
before 1770, so if you want I can look out for Dierch (or probably Dierck) Bosch.
But it will take some time (abt. 3-4 weeks)
Kirchwistedt is also near Beverstedt, but had it's own church.

Leslie,
The LDS film number for Evangelical-Reformed church in Geestendorf
(Geestemunde) is 1188974 item 2-3 which covers the years 1715-26, 1746,
1751-52, 1759-1836 and film 1188975 item 2 1836-52. I believe Geestendorf
is now part of Geestemunde which is part of the city of Bremerhaven.

Dear Edlef,
I have looked at the LDS microfilms and I want advise on the location of
earlier records. I assume they are still in the churches of those towns.
If you are looking at the Beverstedt film, my known ancestor is Johann
Boschen born 13 October 1763. I believe his father is Dierck Boschen and
the mother is Metta Alhuit Finden. If you see the name in your research I
would appreciate any information on this family. I have also looked at the
Kirchwistedt records through the LDS library.
Thank you for your response.
