I am researching the Family Herzog from Leipzeig Saxony Germany. My Great Grandfather and his family came over to U.S. in the 1880's to the Phila. Port
Springten Garden. They settled in N.J. His name was Gilbert, his wife's name
was Elsie. I need some information on the Herzog's in Germany. Would appreciate
it if anyone has information on that family.

When was Gilbert Herzog born and where? Did he come from Leipzig or was he
born there ?
What ist the maiden name of Elsie Herzog, when was she born and where?
This informations should be either in the immigration papers or in the death
certificates and have to be found in USA.
Today there are still Herzog in Leipzig - I found 153 entries in the online
phonebook.

Sorry for no better answer - and it does absolutly not help to tell that
Herzog in Leisnig (not Leipzig - but only 50 to 60 km distance) is already
mentioned in 1589 in a Tax-List.
