If anyone had a relative attend the Hermannsburg Missionhaus in Hermannsburg, Germany near Hannover, I have the following book:
Die vergessenen Shne Hermannsburgs in Nordamerika

The Forgotten Sons of Hermannsburg in North America.
This was a school for pastors and missionaries in Germany. My Great Grandfather first attended this school in Germany from 1867-1871, then came to America and completed his studies at Concordia College in St. Louis, Missouri. His name was Heinrich Wilhelm Endeward.
Among other things, it has a listing of students that came to North America. It states a short paragraph on each person. This usually contains the town of their birth, years they attended the school, their wives names and number of children, and years and names of some of the churches they served in.

Joanne,
Thank you so much for that offer. I have a couple men I'd like you to look up for me.
Friedrich Ottmann, came to the US about 1848
and
Theodor Wichmann, came to the US about 1848
Both of them were ministerial students. Wichmann may have graduated before coming to the US, but I know Ottmann attended either St. Louis or Fort Wayne seminary. Fort Wayne was a "full" seminary for just a few years before becoming just a pre-seminary in the 1860's.
