I am just curious. Did your Weichman settle in New Vienna, IA in 1843? It
was a Herman Henry Wiechmann and his wife Katherina (Hellmann). He dies
in 1843 or 4 and his wife then married a Andrew Rahe in 1848. Seems like
the spelling could be related to yours. I am not related to these people but
am very interested in all the history of New Vienna. Thanks.

I just checked the availability of the Vestrup church records through the
LDS and they say a copy is not currently available for loan. :o(
Maybe I will get lucky and someone on the list has access to them
or has this family among their records?
