My ancestor Henrich Christoph Schniedermann married Marie Christine Bottemoeller geb. Strothmann in Brockhagen Ev. on 20 July 1793. His year of birth based on his age at marriage and age at death was about 1767. There is no birth record for him in Brockhagen. In fact there are very few Schniedermanns in Brockhagen and I believe he may have come from another parish. Does anyone on the list have information on Henrich Schniedermann? Where is he from? Why are their two different spellings Schnie and Schnei - is it a locality difference or just based on the pastor's spelling option?
