Mine has been there for many, many years. I use an FTP client called CuteFTP to upload my pages. I've always used that since I have other sites as well, but it's possible that RootsWeb has an upload engine, I just don't know.
Investigate their site with regard to their genealogy Web site hosting and see what's there these days. Mine has been there since the days when I had to pay for the space, even though all space is now free for personal family tree sites.
