Help with death record translation

In several death records for my ancestors, under the survivors column, I have
found entries that include "majorenen u minorenen kinder", or some variation.
I can't find either word in my dictionary, but I assume it means something
like older and younger, or adult and non-adult. Does anyone know if that is
correct? Am I reading the old German correctly and have the proper spelling?
If it is, at what age would a child change from minorenen to majorenen?

Thanks for the help.

You are correct, it is adult or juvenile children surviving the deceased.

One extra little bit of information that I neglected to mention. The words
are Latin, which can often be interspersed throughout churchbook records,
especially the earlier the record.
