I tried to attach a list earlier but it didn't work. I wanted to tell you that someone has contacted me who has Engel ancestors from Neuenkirchen. He knows that the family was there in 1822 but he doesn't know if they originated there. The couple was Martin Engel and Maria Rassman.
I composed a list of all the Engel marriages that I could find in my Kopulationsregisters from 1750 to 1875 in the area of Neubrandenburg and Friedland. I will post the list if you want. Let me know. I am not familiar with where Zarfzow is so I am not sure if my information is of any use to you.
