Please excuse my writing in English. My ancestor Georg Jacob Heckmann (1648 - 1704) lived in Moerzheim and married Ottilia Mangold (1654 - 1733). The Moerzheim Protestant church records were probably destroyed for years prior to the time of these two people. Therefore I'm unable to find anything about their ancestors in prior years.
Is there anyone researching HECKMANN in this area (just south of Landau in the Pfalz)? Can anyone give me a hint as to how I might proceed to research my ancestors further into the past?
