Hazelbusch - Peterson

Dear Carl,

I have an August Theodor PETERSON. I have learned that he was a lieutenant-colonel in a swedish regiment, but he lives in Pommerania.

kind regards,

            Christoph Haupt

I am interested in the Gansberg family of Hannover. Parish Hoya. Also Heemsen area.

And especially interested to find the parents of Johann Friedrich Heinrich Gansberg born October or December 1849.

Maureen Shelly

Hi Maureen:

I think we had an exchange concerning the Gansberg family,
so the only thing I can add is that Heemsen is in the
Church district Nienburg. Gandesbergen is in the Eystrup parish.

Hi Maureen,

You probably looked at this before - from the emigration archives of
Hannover, these are listed:

PERS Gansberg, Friedrich 13966 - Nienburg
PERS Gansberg, Friedrich 7606 - Hoya
PERS Gansberg, Heinrich 13965 - Nienburg
PERS Gansberg, Heinrich 13967 - Nienburg
PERS Gansberg, Johann 13968 - Nienburg
PERS Gansberg, männl. 13965 - Nienburg
PERS Gansberg, Marie 7606 - Hoya
PERS Gansberg, Meta 1406 - Bruchhausen
These are all around the same area. Heemsen is just north of Nienburg.

Also, there is the census of 1852 where the name of Gandsberg is listed
in Hoya:

Have you ever looked at the microfilm from the LDS from Hoya:
"Records of marriage contracts of the court of Hoya, Hannover, Preußen."
     1705-1854

There is a Gansberg from Heemsen listed here:
          http://foko.genealogy.net/
You may try to contact the person who listed it.

You may have looked at all these places listed. Sometimes it takes
FOREVER to find what you need--good luck.
