Hayen family

Hello. I'm looking for information for the Hayen family that live in Baltimore. My name is Christopher Hayen, my father is Charles Clarence Hayen, his father is also Charles Clarence Hayen, and his father is William Eilert Hayen. A copy of my great grandfather's naturalization papers can be found here: http://student.ccbcmd.edu/~chayen/greatpapers.jpg

Thank you,

Chris Hayen

And how does that certificate relate to Oldenburg?

Sorry. My grandfather tells me that the person on that certificate is from Oldenburg. Apparently he ran away and listed no family on the manifest. Does the list have any information?

There are 134 Hayen people in the German telephone books within 50 km
of the city of Oldenburg. So the name definitely exists in Germany.
Finding the origin of your great grandfather is another matter of
course. You need to dig into his background. Have you seen his death
certificate, church burial info? Approximate time of immigration and
searched the ship lists?

Fred

His approximate time of immigration is 1914. I think he was born on June 12th, 1889. I cannot find his death certificate.

Hello
There is an Wilhelm Heyen (written with e) in the Ellies Island records, arrived in 1914 in the age of 18.
