Hardtke-Marienwerder

My name is Allan Hardtke in Billings, MT. Sorry, but I do not speak, read, or write German. I have been watching this list for some time and today I saw "Marienwerder" on several massages.

I am the great-great grandson of Michael Hardtke married Catherine Ziroth 1832, came to the USA in late 1854 and settled in the Kewaunee, WI area in 1858.
Michael Hardtke was claimed to have born September 01, 1802 in Deutch Lonk, Kreis Schwetz, West Prussia, to Friedrich Hardtke and Charlotte Wendt. How do I find that record?

Friedrich Hardtke and Charlotte Wendt was claimed to have had another son (name unknown), whom had a son. That son's son may have been Leopold Danial Hardtke who is claimed to have been born about 1826 in Deutch Lonk, Kreis Schwetz, West Prussia. How do I find that record?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

I have the (tauf 1773-1807) birth records from Kirche Schirotzken, Kreis Schwetz, West Prussia Microfilm #245538 and #1417590 ordered, but they still have not made it to the FHS in Billings, MT

Adalbert Goertz, don't try to sell me your book if it doesn't help me answer the above questions. Help me find the answers to my questions and I might be motivated to buy your book.

Allan Hardtke

Mr. Hardke,

From your posting I feel (perhaps wrongly) that you are a man in a hurry.
But genealogy involves many strands. I bought Mr. Goertz' book, no it did
not lists my ancestry, but it did explain the structure of the parishes,
where records might be found, what kind of records might still exist, etc.
Very useful in any case, probably also in identifying parish records from
Kreis Schwetz.

Good luck with search
