1 Does anyone know where the records for the Tarnowitzer Mountain School are kept? Looking for the 1840’s. It was in Tarnowitz, Silesia which is now called Tarnowskie Góry, Poland.
2 Does anyone know anything about Friedrichsgrube, a small mining town in the 1800‘s near Tarnowitz?
3 What archives could I write to find out information about people living in the Tarnowitz area, 1820-50?

when did you visit Tarnowitz Silesia? The Tarnowitzer Mountain School may be called in German Tarnowitzer Bergbau Schule, that means a school for mining. Is this correct?
- Please take a look at my WEIGT website http://weigt-ahnen.de.to . On page Nr. 1b you find many maps of Silesia. Look for the yellow Nr. 5071 and click on it. The map of Leubusch will be opened, it was printed about 1930 or 1932. Near the eastern border of the map you find Tarnowitz Kr. Brieg in Silesia. Is this the village you mean?
