Dear readers,
The Hanover Census Project that we announced in late May this
year, has been started officially at the German National
Genealogical Conference ("Deutscher Genealogentag") here in
Bremen nine days ago.
Last weekend we uploaded the new website and want to invite you
to visit it regularly, learning about the progress of the Census
Project. We are sure that this is going to be a very important
source for Hanover research.

We surely would be very happy if you would support the project
after it is not supported by any academic or state money, but want
to emphasize that this is not a simple "commercial" mail.
You can learn a lot from the growing, free databases of the
"Hanover Location List" and the "Hanover Surname Index" without
paying anything for lookups or census booklets. Both databases
are small yet, but the amount of deciphered and edited parts of the
census will grow, so that this will be an important online help for
Hanover genealogy.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the project.
Best greetings from Bremen,
Jens
