The earliest years for census info. from Hannover I found, was 1833. Since
Hannover was a Kingdom and a city you must know from where in Hannover your
ancestor came. The census info. does list the trade of the head of household
most of the time, but not always. Most trades/occupations were learned
through apprenticing, study and work under a master. The master occupations
were regulated through guilds.
The census info. about Hannover is available on microfilm through the Mormon
Church, Familysearch.org. Search through the FHL for places (Hannover) there
are census records for the city and the many cities and villages throughout
the Kingdom.
Once you find the film# go to the nearest LDS/FHC order the film and start
