Hannover-L Nachrichtensammlung, Band 57, Eintrag 32

Hello Barbara,

Thank you for the reply. With both Henry's and Andreas' parents listed in
separate documents as Andreas Bruer and Dorothee Duwe, I would think it a
good argument that Henry and Andreas (the son) are brothers.

I was not aware of the LDS documents you list below. It sounds like a trip
to Salt Lake City is in my future! Do you know if there are genealogists in
Salt Lake City one can commission to research specific documents?

Sincerely,

Steve Bruer

Hi Steve,

I have previously engaged Marion Wolfort who lives in Salt Lake City (
area ) to do some research for me. She does research there in Salt Lake City
and also travels to the Hannover region each year to do work for clients.

I was extremely pleased with the results. Marion even took pictures of the
town and homestead of my family which was a pleasant surprise. Well worth
the money as it would have taken years of research, if I was able to do it
at all, to get the information she provided.
I am sure there are many capable Genealogists who can provide great service
for you but I just wanted to give you my impression of Marion's work.

Hi Steve,

Where do you live? You would only need to go to Salt Lake for the Family
Book of Groß and Elbe since it is a whole book. I don't know if there is a
place to buy such a book.

If you live in an area where there is a LDS (Mormon) center, you can go
there and order microfilms for Baddeckenstedt for a small fee. When the
items arrive, you can go there and view the films. Birth, marriage and death
records would be there.

Go here to find a LDS center near you:
