Robert: The reason you have found no LDS records for the 19th Cent in
Hannover is that most of the Lutheran churches in northern Germany
(including Hannover) would not allow the LDS to photograph their records.
You either have to go there personally or find some other source. Jane

Lienesch. I know he was born in 1801 in Hannover, was likely a Catholic
living in or near Ankum. He may have been somehow related to the
Lienesch fief in
Ankum. He emigrated to Illinois in the US, probably around 1840-1845.
I'm
particularly interested in his parents' names, and his wife's name and
the
date of their marriage.
Can anyone advise me how to locate any civil or church records for
the
period 1801-1845? I've generally found that the LDS records for those
years
are not listed, but maybe I'm missing something.
