Thank you for the information on the marriage of Bruno Hinrich HÖLSE and
Clara Johanna MÜLLER. I will keep the record and perhaps in the future
find a link to my cow herder Hans Jürgen HÖLZEN, living in Wiewohl, Altmark
in 1778. It is very possible he and his bride Sophia Catharina BORCHERT
were married in that region of the Kingdom of Hanover that you mention.
Were the boundaries of the Kingdom of Hanover and Kingdom of Prussia open
for individuals to move from one to the other during the mid 18th century? Ulf
has told me about how cowherders often moved from village to village. Could
they easily move from one Kingdom to another?
