Hello Star and listers, try this link.
I believe that the tax and church info. on the Hann-Muenden URL, only shows
up in the German version of Version 3. Try the above link, Star, even w/o
German knowledge you can make it out. Contact me if you still have problems.
Quick Translation of the columns
Braeutigam/Groom,-
Vater des Br./Father of groom, -
Haus/house #, -
Heirat/marriage, -
Vater der Braut/father of the bride,
-aus/from, (another location) not always filled in
Hope this helps, I found this site very exciting. Hann-Muendeen site also has
a lot of historical information, but it might only be in German. My maternal
Grandmother came from there. The city has a castle, and the two old churches
are still standing. Two rivers merge there, the Werra and Fulda, and become
the River Weser, flowing north to Bremerhaven, from where many of our
ancestors came to the States.
The area has beautiful forests, this is where the Grimm brothers collected
there fairy tales. So read the fairy tales and you get a feeling for the
region.
Have a nice weekend,
