HUSLINGE never owned the house where there where living in
in the Kingdom of Hanover area.
HUSLER stand s for other areas in the early Germany, for
example in the SUDETENLands. There it stands for "Owning a
small house".
You will find In census lists HUSLINGE mostly at the end of
the ranking, as they owned no land, no houses, no farms.
They where poor peopl. living from "Hand to mouth".

A Husling or Husler is a Person who has a small farm.
Sometimes he owns it, sometimes he pays rent for it. It is
not sufficient to make a living. He had to have some other
source of income. Sometimes farmers had Huslinge as cheap
farm workers. They did not have to care for them, no food
and lodging required.
