Habing family ancestors from Teutopolis, Illinois, USA and Oldenburg/Emsland?

Dear List members:

I am researching several family histories for my father and mother. Would anyone here be able to help me find some information?

I am specifically requesting information regarding:

A1. John G. HABING (Johann
Gerhard)
Born: Oldenburg,
Germany
Married: Angela
(Engele) ROHE
Immigrated: 1849
Died:
Buried:

Children:
  Joseph G. HABING
  Annie HABING
  Johann Heinrich
HABING
  Elizabeth HABING
  Bernard G. HABING
  Frederick G.
HABING
  Catherine HABING

A1a. Angela (Engele) Rohe HABING
Born: Oldenburg,
Germany
Married: John G.
HABING
Immigrated: 1849
Died:
Buried:

Joseph geb. 1830 in Germany through Frederick geb. 1842 in Germany; Catherine born in USA. (A significant irony many here may enjoy: Bernard G. moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, and later in life his employment is listed as "travel agent".) Some of Johann's descendents immigrated to Canada in the 1910's.

I would love to find ancestors and other information for Johann and Engele, and also name/date of ship they immigrated on. Any clues/assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Dear Lynn,
it could be:

Johann Gerhard Heinrich Gerdhabing, nickname John
Geboren: 16 Nov 1803 Tenstedt / Cappeln
Religion: RK
Auswanderung: 1849 Teutopolis, Effingham, IL
Gestorben: 1858 Teutopolis, Effingham, IL
Beerdigt: St. Francis Cemetery

You can find the family at: www.auswanderer-oldenburg.de

The "Teutopolis Sesquicentennial - 1839 - 1989" listed a Habing family:
"The Habing family originated in a small "wohnplatz" in northern Germany called Tenstedt....
The immigrant Habing for this branch was Georg Gerdhabing, born 09.Oct.1833 in Tentedt, who came over with his brother Henry, born 13.Jan.1837 in Tenstedt ......"
" John Gerhard Heinrich Gerdhabing (1803-1865), an uncle to Georg and Henry, came to America in 1849......"

I hope it helps,
