Dear List Members.
For about two years I have been attempting to locate my ancestors' home.
Their name is Grassmann. All records indicate they came from Hannover.
The specific village from which they came is not known although one piece
of information suggested Oldendorf.
My great great grandfather is Christoph Grassmann. Sometimes he used the
name Kerster. He was born 26 11 1807. He married Sohpia (nee Meyer)
Grassmann. She was born 11 03 1809. They came to America after 1853.
Both were Lutheran and both are buried in my church cemetery in Minnesota.
Their son was Heinrich Christoph Grassmann. He was born 40 60 1834. He
came to America by way of Bremen and arrived in New York City on 40 03
1834. He was a mason.

assistance given to me.
