For several years I have appreciated the assistance of many kind members of the Hannover List.
During these years I have attempted to find the home of my great great grandparents. Thus far, I have had no success. I will try again.
My great great grandfather was Christoph Grassmann. Sometimes he used the name Kerster Grassmann. He was born 26 11 1807.
My great great gandmother was Sophia (nee Meyer) Grassmann. She was born 11 03 1809.
Both were of the Lutheran faith. Both came to America after 1853. Both died in America in the state of Minnesota and are buried in my church cemetery.
My great grandfather was Heinrich Christoph Grassmann. He was born 04 06 1834. He left the port of Bremen and arrived in New York on 40 03 1853.
