to assist with information about the villages of Neu
Schimannen and Gr. Schiemannen, including, if possible,
their histories and information regarding the residents. if
anyone has lived in either place or had relatives who lived
there, I would be interested in communicating with them.

Hi Ervin.
I have an OLSCHEWSKI Julius, August in my genealogical table who died + 18.8.1884 in Neu Schimanen.
In August 2002 I travelled through the area and took some pictures how it looks today. If you are interested please send me your e-mail adress so I could send you some pictures.
On highway 599 between Ortelsburg (german) = Szczytno (polish) and Willenberg (german) = Wielbark (polish) you find:
- Neu Schimanen = Nowiny
- Gross Schimanen = Szymany
- Klein Schimanen = Szymanki
