I have obtained a 1936 postcard of Goslar: "Goslar am Harz. Blick
auf Marktkirche, Kaiserhaus und im Herzberger Tal."
It is a view of Marktkirche (centre), Emperor's palace (centre
right), and (presumably) the slopes of the Herzberg (background).
I have placed the postcard in a photogallery at;
Could someone please tell me about Herzberg (the mountain)...
including what is the relation between Herzberg (the mountain) and
Herzberg (the village), which is also in the Harz region?
Thanks,
Philip Strong
Hello Philip,
i live in the Harz Mountain. I think it is the best you get in contact
with the Geschichtsverein. Here the link:

bin in Goslar geboren und aufgewachsen; kenne Goslar also ein wenig.
Many thanks to Dirk Ullrich for the address of the Goslar local
history society at:

I am also most grateful to Ursula Schlotz-Winkel for sorting out what
is the Herzberg, and also giving additional detail about each of my
Goslar images- see the index at:
