This reply really has no connection to the Glanddorf thread. Barbara
posted the AIDA web address and even though I have searched it before,
I went there again looking for Julius Wilhelm Burgdorf . What I forgot
Wilhelm and Burgdorf appear in the text but I have no clue as in what
context. He was born1825 in Hildesheim in Hanover, went to America in
1859. I do not know parents or sibling names. His emigration data
lists him as a clerk.
I just need to know that the name Julius Wilhelm Burgdorf as it
appears on that wesite is definitely my great grandfather or is not.
I thank you for your efforts on my behalf.

Hello Dale,
My computer is acting up so I'm starting a new run. Anyway, I think
you
might be right about the shiplist which includes Theodor Pauk. That
is good
news for sure!! I checked the German telephone listing for Pauk and
Glandorf. They show four listings of 4 Pauk names from Bad Laer
(which is a
very small town near Glandorf). There are 124 listings in all of
Germany for
the name of Pauk. I'll do some more work for that name - I have
access to
the Census at home.
I really think you're on the right trail! I hope so.
