Glahn

Hello Nancy,

we have a Friedrich Wilhelm von Glahn born 30 Jan 1825 Ruhwarden. But to be sure that this person is the right one we need more informations about the person you're looking for. For example was he Lutheran or Roman-Catholic? Do you have a passenger list for him?

Best regards,

Gunter

Hello Gunter,
It is believed that both William F and Eva (Ludascher) Glahn were Catholic.

It is unknown at this time where William F Glahn is buried, but his wife Eva
(Ludascher) Glahn is buried at Calvary Cemetery which is a Catholic Cemetery
established by St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.
I do not have a passenger list for William F Glahn. I know that he arrived
before 1858, but I cannot find him in the 1850 US census. In the 1860,
1870 and 1880 census he is listed as a farmer, living in Madisonville,
Hamilton County, Ohio, which is part of Cincinnati now.
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Hello.
In searching for William F Glahn. I found Deterick Van Glahn, born abt
1815, living in Clermont County Ohio in 1850.
Clermont County is very close to Madisonville, Hamilton County Ohio, where
William F and wife Eva Ludascher Glahn lived.
Does anyone have any information on Deterick Van Glahn born about 1815?
Maybe these two are brothers or cousins.
Thanks!
Nancy Cutter
