I am really glad you posted. I am happy to see everyone helping. I also tried to help. Looking for Hermann Meyer instead. And found something I have been looking for by accident.
In my famuily they thought my Hermann Meyer was the same age when he came over about 6 or seven and he wasn't at all. YOurs is different Year than mine and an early emmigration. It is however about the time my Juergen Heinrich Friedrich Meyer came over. Did I miss it or did it get mentioned where Johann and Herman settled. Do you suppose there are others in the area that he settled in with connections to the same area that he was from.
There were quite a few other postings and I may have theirs in my head instead.
