1. CORD1 GIESCHEN was born May 1829 in Hanover, Germany, and died June 16, 1914 in Benton Co, Missouri. He married TIBKE SCHROEDER Abt. 1856. She was born May 16, 1822, and died December 02, 1891 in Benton Co, Missouri.

Arriving New Orleans 25 November 1857 on the D. H. Watjen from Bremen: Cord & John Gieschen so for now assuming Johann is brother
I also found reference to a H Gieschen, m, age 29 coming on the SS Breman from Bremen, Germany to NY 12-11-1863 with occupation listed as Gorrin..whatever this is!!!!
Also a Joh. Gieschen 29 m farmer Germany on the Bremen, Germany to New York 19 April 1880
