Hello,
I am again looking for information about individuals from Hannover who might have gone to Hawaii around 1883. I believe there were three or four ships who carried them to the islands. I had this information a long time ago but seem to have misplaced it. Now I am looking for a family by the name of Goedicke/Goedecke.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Ernestine:
The German Genealogical Digest Magazine Summer 2002 has a very good
article on the Germans who went to Hawaii to work on the sugar plantations.
I saw it at the library. If you do not have access to it, let me know and I
will check it for you. The magazine is a quarterly publication from Salt
Lake, Utah. This is a very good magazine. I have no connection to the
magazine.
