Hello Eva and everyone,

I have an ancestor born between 1820 and 1830 with the name Agust�n. But I think it could be the translation of his real name because it's in spanish, but I have doubts because it also could be latin.
Anyway, do you know what similar names they use in that time? Maybe August, Augustus, Austin, Augustine?? Is there a particular region/place where they use that name?
Finally, do you know of a particular place (in that time also) where the surname Jenssen (Jen�en) was common)?

yes, it means the same:
August, Augustus, Augustin, Austin, Augustine (= female).
I think it's Latin.
