Yes Bobbi, I did and there was no listing. I did find him in the text of Confederate Soldiers but that info was minimal. I hought that maybe there was more in NARA. I believe the unit he served in was composed of mostly immigrants and they served only as protectors or guards around the city of New Orleans. I will post anything I may find at NARA

I keep wondering why all my Irish immigrants served but none of my
German immigrants (who were here in the USA a little earlier) did. Were
there NO New Jersey regiments?
I found one 1850 immigrant who didn't get naturalized until 1870. Is that
why? Were only naturalized citizens permitted? I know it's not that way
now, but .....
My German great-grandfather first lived in Iowa, but moved to Nebraska to
avoid the war. Iowa was involved in the war but not Nebraska. There was a
lot of land available so that made it easier. So they say....
