My question is there a way to order German films?I was email some information about my Schmidt
   side of my family.It said source was from the Schmidt Family Records.Then it said the film
   number was DZfG Leipzig AS 2303 S. 72/36.
I can not get the researcher to contact me.So I do not know where to believe it are not.
  It was sent by a living relative of my Schmidt side.

Without knowing the particulars, I would assume that the LDS has a copy of
that film and your researcher listed the original source. Many documents but
especially Lutheran churchbooks were filmed during the NAZI regime and these
films survive while the original books were lost during and after the war.
